Wilmington Drama League Productions
Main Stage
The Wilmington Drama League Main Stage season has been a staple of the community for over 85 years and provides professional quality theatre relying primarily on volunteers. Dependent upon donations and grants to augment ticket sale revenue, the Mainstage Program is committed to promoting diversity and cultural relevance in the arts.
Black Box Series
The Wilmington Drama League’s Black Box programming provides an outlet for classic plays and modern, lesser known or cutting edge productions to be presented in an intimate setting with minimalistic production elements to focus on acting and story.
The Ruby M. Stanley One-Act Festival
This annual event is named for a late long time Wilmington Drama League volunteer, board member and costume mistress. The production, which frequently features original works by local playwrights, culminates with a two-day festival in which audience members vote for their favorite play. The winner then represents the Wilmington Drama League at the state, and often regional, level.
