Imago:  Youth Play-Writing Group

IMAGO is a group where young playwrights can ask questions about technique and content involving plays they are writing / have written in an atmosphere focused on positivity. Meetings give them a chance to have excerpts read by the group and to get feedback as well as suggestions. Members have done creative exercises, worked on scripts, given / received feedback and had their plays accepted in the Drama League’s Jeff Walker Youth One-Act Festival that takes place each summer.

 

The specific agenda each month depends on the needs and interests of participants. These are drop-in meetings. Anyone aged 7-17 interested in play-writing is welcome to attend.

Meetings are held at the Drama League unless otherwise noted. Please be sure to double check here and/or on our Facebook Page prior the meeting to confirm location.
