Nunsense Auditions

Audition Details for Nunsense
Director/Music Director: Jason Messinger

Wilmington Drama League is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of Nunsense!
Nunsense is habit-forming! This riotous show is a fundraiser put on by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidentally poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God).
We are seeking a dynamic and diverse all female cast of performers ages 21 and up. Wilmington Drama League is committed to creating an inclusive environment and encourages performers of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, body types, backgrounds, and experience levels to audition.
Performance Dates: January 22 - 31, 2027
Rehearsals will tentatively begin the week of October 19th and will take place three times a week to start. Rehearsals are currently scheduled for Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays, but are subject to change based on the availability of the chosen cast. The schedule will require more rehearsals as we approach opening and tech week.
WHEN
Monday, September 21st: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Wednesday, September 23rd: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Callbacks: Monday, September 28th (by invitation)
WHERE
Wilmington Drama League
10 W. Lea Blvd.
Wilmington, DE 19802
WHAT TO PREPARE
Please prepare approximately 32 bars (about one minute) of a song in the style of the show. Due to the comedic nature of the show, it would be best to prepare a fun, upbeat, and possible comedic song. Please bring clearly marked sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Sheet music is strongly preferred, but a Bluetooth speaker will be available for tracks. You may pair with our speaker or bring your own, but proper amplification is required. Singing a capella or playing a track from a cell phone without amplification will not be accepted.
If you are unable to attend auditions on the scheduled dates, please contact Director Jason Messinger at jmessinger10@gmail.com so alternative arrangements can be discussed.
