Wilmington Drama League 2021-22 Season
The Wilmington Drama League's 2021-2022 season will showcase a variety of shows ranging from Broadway favorites to dramas, musicals and a special holiday season production. And, as with every Wilmington Drama League season, it's one of the most affordable tickets in town.
October 22-24, 2021
In a remote estate in the Connecticut countryside, Jack Brooks, one of the most accomplished and eccentric painters of his generation, awaits the arrival of Vincent, his flamboyant art dealer. Jack feels wronged, and he is intending to kill the man. His wife, Annie, is reluctant to go along, until Jack’s threat of violence convinces her otherwise. Will Jack carry out his plan? Will Annie help him? Or is something else going on?

Elf the Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy's enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth.

William Finn and James Lapine's musical combines their Off-Broadway works The March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland, which tell the story of a gay man named Marvin, his lover Whizzer, Marvin’s wife Trina and their extended family from the early ‘80s through the beginning days of the AIDS crisis.

Michael Frayn's Noises Off takes a fond look at the follies of theatre folk, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss, and passionate affairs turn every performance into a high-risk adventure. This play-within-a-play captures a touring theatre troupe’s production of Nothing On in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance towards the end of a debilitating run.
