Jeff Walker One -Act Festival

The Jeff Walker One-Act Festival commemorates a rising young actor at the Wilmington Drama League who tragically lost his life in a car accident at 17. It provides opportunities for over 100 area youth (ages 5 – 18) from diverse backgrounds to learn, gain experience and participate in theatre by acting, directing, play-writing and filling technical roles.

 

The Wilmington Drama holds open auditions.  All are then mentored throughout the summer by experienced volunteer adults, culminating in a juried one act festival each year which is open to the public without charge. These programs serve to introduce young people to the arts, improve self esteem, hone communication skills, and for some, open a potential career path.
